About Clones Development Society Ltd
Clones Development Society oversee the Ulster Canal Stores, which is a recently renovated heritage building. It is home to our Meals on Wheels service and also to Clones Lace Museum and a restaurant is offering breakfast, snacks and dinners, and caters for parties. We also offer tourist and heritage information, and run guided walking tours during the summer months.
What's Involved
Volunteer assistants are being sought for the Meals on Wheels service in the Clones area. Assistants will be asked to:
help carry the food from the collection point to the vehicle
help carry the food into the homes of the elderly people in the Clones area
spend a few minutes chatting with the older people they encounter on the delivery route
accompany the driver as they return containers to the collection point
Volunteers will complete their deliveries in pairs. The role of the assistant is to accompany the driver on the route and help deliver the meals.

Volunteers should be very reliable, trustworthy and patient.
