What's Involved

Are you looking for a practical task based volunteer opportunity where you are also part of a local community addressing food poverty?

Crosscare are looking for packing volunteers to join their team! If you can get to Darndale on a Thursday morning 9.30 -12.30 (Food Bank pre-packing) or a Friday morning 8.15 -12.00 (Foodbank Day) we'd love to hear from you.

The role includes;
• sorting donated food and make food parcels ready for distribution
• supporting the coordinator in maintaining the foodbank to a high standard of quality including; cleaning / tidying shelves, stock taking & rotation and adhering to HACCP guidelines

*Please note that this role is physically demanding i.e. packing, lifting and moving parcels and includes outdoor working.

What's required for this position

• We are looking for friendly task orientated volunteers who are can be flexible and supportive.
• Please take into consideration that this role can be a little physically demanding i.e. packing & moving parcels.

Intermediate English

On the grounds of Our Lady Immaculate Church/New Life Centre, Belcamp Ave, Darndale, Dublin 17.
