About Vision Ireland - the new name for NCBI
NCBI's retail shops are located around Ireland, selling great quality second-hand clothes, shoes, household items, books and a large selection of bric-a-brac. The proceeds of the shops go towards NCBI's services.
We provide practical and emotional supports, rehabilitation services and hands on training to help people who are blind or visually impaired to help them live independently and confidently in their own community. We rely heavily on volunteers to support our charity shops. Each hour you volunteer will help to fund these life changing services.
What's Involved
Would you like to volunteer in our Furniture Shop in Harolds Cross Dublin? It's is a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. Every hour you volunteer also helps us to provide counselling and rehabilitation services thus allowing people with sightloss live confidently and independently.
We are looking for both men and women to join our team, and if you have a bit of DIY skill all the better!!
Other Shop Locations
If this location is not convenient to you, we have over 90 shops nationwide. Check out your nearest NCBI retail shop and simply phone or call in and ask for the manager. You will be shown around and will probably meet other volunteers. This doesn’t commit you to anything.

What's required for this position
The main skills needed by our volunteers is good customer service and a willingness to join a busy retail team. To want to help out in a fun environment.
