About Sligo Stroke Support Group run by the Irish Heart Foundation.
The Stroke Support Group is held every Thursday in Sligo Park Hotel from 11am to 1pm. The group provides peer support for Stroke Survivors, information, guest speakers, social engagement, outings and an all important cup of tea. We also provide one hour of group based physical activity.
What's Involved
We would love to recruit a few more volunteers that could come from 11-1pm on the second Thursday of each month.
You will mingle with members and their carers, help with tea and coffee and maybe even some games and a social chat.
We would like you to have some experience working with vulnerable adults or people with disabilities.
Irish Heart Foundation induction and training is provided.
