Christmas Remembrance Tree Volunteer Drogheda

Rotary Club Drogheda

About Rotary Club Drogheda

Drogheda Rotary Club meets on Mondays at 1pm, right in the heart of the town in the Westcourt Hotel, in West Street. The club has around 30 members, who meet over lunch to discuss various charity, fundraising and other Rotary & non Rotary related issues. During lunch the weekly rota for the long established, successful and busy Meals on Wheels service is also highlighted.
We are always delighted to invite visiting Rotarians, their friends and partners, whether they are from other Irish or overseas Rotary clubs. We are also delighted to welcome prospective new members. We would encourage you to come along to one of our meetings to find out more about Rotary, our local & International projects. See if you like us to determine whether Rotary Club of Drogheda has something to offer you. Once a month, we hold a formal Council meeting, where each council member is asked to present on his/her programme of work.
One of the regular activities at our weekly lunch meetings is to invite Guest Speakers to come in and talk to us. We have had an exciting array of fascinating speakers from local Dragon Gavin Duffy to MEP Mairead McGuiness and crime journalist Paul Williams.
Our Meals On Wheels service has been in operation now for almost 46 years. It was introduced in 1971 and was the first service of it’s kind in the country. Since the establishment of this much-needed social service, Drogheda Rotary Club prepares and delivers over 50 hot meals, three times a week (totalling over 150 meals) to the elderly and incapacitated in the local community.
