About Making Connections
Making Connections is a non profit Befriending and Support Service operating in Dublin South since 2009. We work in partnership with HSE and other local agencies to enhance the physical health and well being of older people experiencing loneliness or isolation and who wish to age well at home. Volunteers are garda vetted and trained for befriending and provide a number of supports as required.
What's Involved
We have a lonely older lady who is dreading winter. She was very active with an interest in music & walking but now hates facing the long dark evenings.
