About Dundalk Rotary Club
Rotary is an international organisation, its main aim and ethos is "Service about Self". Dundalk Rotary club was founded over 50 years ago. We set up Meals on wheels in Dundalk,which continues to be a vital service to the Dundalk Community. We provide financial assistance through fundraising to The Birches Alzheimers Day Unit, The Marie Goretti Respite Centre, The Rape Crisis Centre, Meals on Wheels, Christmas Hampers, SOSAD. We receive requests for support during the year and we do our best to help as many as we can. We engage 9 Secondary schools in our Youth Leadership Projects and the successful student gets to visit Government Buildings in Dublin, Belfast and the European Parliament in Stasburg.
What's Involved
Dundalk Rotary Club provides a Remembrance Tree located on Earl Street at Christmas Time, where members of the public can remember loved ones who have passed away. Remembrance Trees are
Volunteers are required to assist the public with writing messages, tying them to the Remembrance Tree and collecting donations. All funds raised go towards local charities.
Volunteers are needed from 10am to 8pm between 17th and 24th December. Volunteers will help out for 2-3 hour shifts and all help is appreciated.
