About Oesophageal Cancer Fund
The Oesophageal Cancer Fund runs its national fundraising and awareness Campaign Lollipop Day at the end of February each year to highlight the symptoms of Oesophageal Cancer in Ireland. The ‘Lollipop’ emblem used on Lollipop Day signifies the relationship between a difficulty in swallowing and oesophageal cancer. Lollipop Day itself is dependent on thousands of volunteers collecting out on the streets all around the country.
The Oesophageal Cancer Fund was set up in 2001 and is a small registered charity raising awareness and funds for research and has become the national voice for oesophageal cancer in Ireland.
We need help to raise awareness of the symptoms of oesophageal cancer in your local community and are looking for your help to do this.
So if you have some free time on Lollipop Day Friday 1st or Saturday 2nd March 2019 we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a team selling lollipops and providing information on oesophageal cancer at one of your local stores.
What's required for this position
All you need is to be yourself, bring a big smile and a friendly attitude goes a long way.

Location of volunteering opportunity:
Volunteers will based at a shop or strategic location in their local area. We have permission to sell nationwide at Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Aldi. In addition we have permission to sell to some local Supervalu's and other stores.
