About Oesophageal Cancer Fund

The Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF) is the national charity for Oesophageal Cancer in Ireland, focused on bringing the good fight to a bad cancer. We are passionately committed to improving experiences and outcomes for those affected by Oesophageal Cancer and aim to do so by providing dedicated support, raising awareness and engaging in research to advance early detection, prevention and successful treatments for Oesophageal Cancer.

What's Involved

We need help to raise awareness of the symptoms of oesophageal cancer in your local community and are looking for your help to do this.

So if you have some free time on Lollipop Day Friday 1st or Saturday 2nd March 2019 we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a team selling lollipops and providing information on oesophageal cancer at one of your local stores.

What's required for this position

All you need is to be yourself, bring a big smile and a friendly attitude goes a long way.

Level of English required for this role:
Intermediate English

Other Details

Location of volunteering opportunity:
Volunteers will based at a shop or strategic location in their local area. We have permission to sell nationwide at Dunnes Stores, Tesco and Aldi. In addition we have permission to sell to some local Supervalu's and other stores.

Nationwide - across Ireland

Volunteers will be provided with the following supports:

  • Supervision
  • Insurance cover
