About Global Action Plan
Global Action Plan empowers individuals and communities to take small actions towards a more sustainable lifestyle. GAP aims to raise environmental awareness and inspire local initiatives in through various projects and programmes. GAP´s core adult community programme is the 'Environmental Action Team.'
What's Involved
We are looking for volunteers to engage in a wide variety of community garden based activities such as planting, weeding, harvesting, composting and general garden maintenance. It's an opportunity for volunteers to learn gardening skills, work along side other volunteers in a socially inclusive way.
Global Action Plan runs the Glás (Green Living and Sustainability) Garden and volunteers are always welcome. Volunteers who have an interest in gardening or want to meet people while learning something new and getting active are welcome to become members. We have a place for volunteers of all levels of gardening skill and all levels of commitment.
The Glás (Green Living and Sustainability) Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 to 13:00 and Wednesdays from 17:30 to 19:30. We welcome people to volunteer from 1 to 6 hours per week, whatever they are able to give. All Welcome!
What's required for this position
Enthusiasm and willingness to get involved in the community gardening project. No experience of gardening is needed, just an interest in learning and getting stuck in.
The garden is wheelchair accessible and open to people with disabilities. We endeavor to support and welcome people from all walks of life. However, there are no specific supports for this area.
